Coal and Natural Gas
are Much Cheaper
than Wind and Solar
March 4, 2025
"Renewable power advocates often claim wind and solar are less expensive energy sources than coal, natural gas, and nuclear power. Such a claim begs the question of why the heavily subsidized Ivanpah solar power facility (Mojave Desert, California) is going out of business, following a long line of other renewable energy project bankruptcies. Also, why would most of the world continue to build coal power plants if it is more expensive than wind and solar? The answer is wind and solar are expensive, financial losers. A recent peer-reviewed analysis proves that point."

Offshore Wind's Epic Fail
Aug. 26, 2025
"This week, the federal government slammed the brakes on the nearly completed Revolution Wind project off Rhode Island and Connecticut, citing vague 'national security concerns'. With 45 of 65 turbines already piercing the ocean floor and the developer boasting 80% completion, this sudden stand-down may signify deeper issues ... or is it just another sign that offshore wind's house of cards is collapsing?"

Storm Darragh
Leaves UK's
Biggest Solar Farm
in Pieces
Dec. 17, 2024
"They clearly aren't as reliable as electric power plants fueled by coal, natural gas, and nuclear. Nor, are traditional power plants operations disrupted by a passing storm, which happened in the United Kingdom recently."

Windmills and
Solar Panels
are not ready for Prime Time
June 26, 2025
"The truth is that despite decades of government subsidies and crony capitalist ventures, wind and solar simply cannot deliver consistent and affordable energy. And the notion that they are unequivocally good for the environment is not totally accurate."

A New IEA Report and
the Iberian Blackout
End Dreams of
an Energy Transition
May 20, 2025
"As the International Energy Agency (IEA) report noted, just one large Artificial Intelligence (AI) data center uses as much electricity as two million households, and myriads are planned. Thus, digital infrastructures will soon create demands equivalent to — reliably — powering hundreds of millions of new households. Spoiler alert: the IEA forecast shows fossil fuels continue to play a central role."

Wind & the Environment
"Wind turbines do not produce any direct carbon dioxide emissions during operation; however, they do produce a variety of negative environmental impacts. The amount of space required to produce 1,000 megawatts (MW) from an industrial wind facility can exceed 133 square miles of land, compared to just 1.3 square miles needed for an equivalent nuclear power plant. Wind turbines also require enormous amounts of rare earth elements like neodymium magnets, around 377 pounds of neodymium per MW capacity. The mining for these resources destroys huge amounts of land and requires heavy machinery that do emit copious amounts of carbon dioxide emissions as well as traditional pollutants. The land required for new transmission lines is also substantial at about 10.4 acres per MW."
